Silicon Mix and Kanechom Conditioning Treatment Review

After conditioning and styling, What a difference!
I told you guys I would be trying the Silicon Mix Deep Conditioner by Avanti mixed with the Kanechom Karite Conditioner. If you haven't heard about it, YouTube it and you can see many videos about the tandem.

I ordered mine from Amazon. They came well packaged which is important because I hate when my product spills out.

I washed my hair with a sulfate shampoo which I almost never do because I am normally a no silicone and no sulfate kinda curly girl. So what in the heck am I doing with a product called Silicon mix?

Well, as it turns out, Silicon mix does have silicone in it (duh), but, it is a silicone that will evaporate on its own so you don't have to use a sulfate shampoo to wash it out. YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The other two silicones in it are water soluble which means they can be washed out with your sulfate free shampoo or sulfate free conditioning wash.

But, the Kanechom does have a silicone in it that has to be washed out with a sulfate shampoo. SO, unless I am going to straighten my hair, I will not be using the Kanechom on a regular basis which is a shame because mixed with the Silicon mix, they make a killer deep conditioner!

I will post pictures of the Before and After results.

Both of the products are very creamy and you can see how full of oil it is(good). I put them in my severely tangled hair. My hair gets so tangled with sulfate shampoos. The mix melted the tangles away and made my hair feel like silk. It was so easy to comb through that I couldn't believe it.
I put a plastic baggie over my head and sat under my hooded dryer for 30 minutes. My goodness my hair felt like butter.

When I rinsed it out, (the true test) my hair was still easy to comb through and it felt much softer and looked much shinier than before. Please keep in mind my hair is really dry and porous, it doesn't hold moisture thanks to my peroxide escapades so the difference was readily visible. I am sure with continued treatments my hair will come back to " life."

I have yet to try the silicon mix by itself. I will do that soon, this injury makes it pretty hard to wash my hair as often as I would normally wash it.

If you don't mind using silicones that require sulfate to wash them out then I highly reccomend the Silicon Mix mixed with the Kanechom conditioners. Your hair will feel lovely.

As I said, I will use Kanechom which has regular silicones when I flat iron my hair for the protection it gives. But when I am curly, I can't use regular silicones because they block out additional moisture and require that I use a sulfate shampoo on a regular basis which is very drying and bad for curly hair.

If the Silicon mix turns out to be good on its own I will use it on a regular basis because it has silicones that can be washed out with water and doesn't require sulfates.

I will let you know how it goes. Here are those before and after photos I promised.

  1. An fascinating dialogue is price comment. I believe that it's best to write more on this topic, it won't be a taboo subject but typically people are not enough to speak on such topics. To the next. Cheers casino online
